Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules governing access to and use of LinesFlow ("the Service"), operated by Linesflow Ltd (Company No. 17352218, registered in England and Wales). All users, account holders, and API clients must comply with this policy at all times.

By accessing LinesFlow, you agree to adhere to these rules. Breach of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

2. Permitted Use

LinesFlow is designed strictly for business document processing, including:

  • Uploading genuine purchase invoices, sales credit notes, supplier receipts, and utility bills.
  • Extracting financial line items and verifying VAT calculations for legitimate accounting and tax reporting.
  • Connecting authorised accounting platforms (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) to post verified transactions.

3. Prohibited Conduct and Content

You must not upload, post, transmit, or use the Service for any of the following:

  • Fraud & Forgery: Uploading fabricated, altered, fraudulent, or counterfeit invoices, or using the Service to commit tax evasion or money laundering.
  • Unlawful Materials: Processing documents containing illegal, defamatory, offensive, or infringing material.
  • System Interference & Malware: Uploading files containing viruses, Trojans, ransomware, corrupted data, or malicious executable code.
  • Reverse Engineering & Scraping: Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, extract source code, or systematically scrape the platform or its AI models.
  • Unauthorised Access: Shared account usage outside designated organization members, attempting to access other users' accounts or accounting data, or circumventing authentication controls.
  • API & Rate Abuse: Sending excessive automated API calls designed to overload, degrade, or denial-of-service (DoS) the platform infrastructure.

4. System Integrity & Security Vulnerability Reporting

You must not perform security probing, vulnerability scans, or penetration testing against LinesFlow infrastructure without prior express written authorization from our security team.

If you discover a potential security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to security@linesflow.com.

5. Monitoring & Enforcement

We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to monitor uploaded document types, system logs, and accounting sync patterns to ensure compliance with this policy.

In the event of a suspected or actual violation, LinesFlow may take action including:

  • Issuing a formal warning.
  • Temporarily suspending your access or API credentials.
  • Terminating your account permanently without prior notice or refund.
  • Reporting illegal activity or fraudulent invoices to law enforcement or tax authorities (HM Revenue & Customs).
